A note from Bill
Hi, I’m Bill—the face behind Wordhorse.
With more than 20 years in the field, as a writer, fundraiser, teacher, and arts leader, I know the daily realities of running an arts organization, what types of stories resonate with donors, and how to sustain your work without compromising your vision.
As a consultant, I specialize in helping small- to mid-sized nonprofits transform their development operations and fundraising programs while keeping them connected to the mission, vision, values, and creative practices that make them unique.
True to the name "Wordhorse," my work goes far beyond offering analysis and advice. I roll up my sleeves to provide hands-on work, crafting compelling stories that inspire donors, developing fundraising strategies that foster meaningful engagement, and building cohesive teams united by a shared purpose to create real change.
